  • More Info:Right lads, it’s that time again for the prize structure and event type for Scotland. Ryder cup format again, two teams which will be drawn on the bus. The Scotland event will once again be a stand alone event - meaning no event will count towards the current team competition that we have going on in the normal fixtures. We will be sticking a bit closer to a Ryder cup format this year with no scramble being played. Instead we will be playing Friday - doubles - this will be matchplay best ball with the best stableford score on the hole winning the hole. And the best double winning the point for the team event. There will be prizes on the day for the top three doubles based on their stableford score so all player MUST record their scores for all 18 holes and I don’t mind if you do it all one card so long as it’s done. Prizes for this event will be 30/20/10 for the top three doubles to be split between them. Saturday - doubles - combined scores stableford. The double with the highest score in the four ball will win the point for the team event. Same prize structure as above to be split between the top three doubles on the day. Sunday - singles stableford - Each player will be drawn against a player in the opposing team. Player with the best stableford score wins the point for their team. Prizes for this event are 20/10/5 for first second and third for the best stableford scores on the day. Team event will pay out £20 per player on the winning team at the end of the weekend. There are 11 par threes which will all be pay £10 each for those lucky enough to be the closest to the pin. There will also be a longest drive on each day on a hole to be decided on the day which I will let you know about at the time each longest drive will also win £10 As such sweeps would be £25 per person payable on the bus in the morning. Any unwon prizes will be handed to the society to put toward next years events including the Scotland trip. Any questions let me know. Mark Owen
